Erica is a Ph.D. student in the Higher Education program at Florida State University. Her research focuses on critical race theory and critical pedagogy in leadership education and scholarship. In her role as a graduate assistant in the LLRC, she conducts research and teaches in the Undergraduate Certificate in Leadership Studies. She also assists with the source book series New Directions for Student Leadership. Previously, Erica worked full-time as a program coordinator in the Center for Leadership and Social Change at Florida State University, where she developed and coordinated college student development programs focused on the outcomes of leadership, social justice, identity, diversity, and community engagement. She received her bachelor’s degree in business marketing with a certificate in leadership studies from Florida State University and obtained her master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education at Texas A&M University.
Erica will be serving the conference in the capacity of Scholar Ambassador. In this role, she will assist in the implementation of the Professional Track, evaluate program sessions and conduct an overall curriculum and program design review.
